We're a team of university students building a car to drive 3,000 km across the Australian outback. Our only fuel is sunlight. This is our test, our obsession, and our shot at putting Hungarian engineering on the map.
In 2025, the team from Neumann University will join one of the world’s most demanding engineering challenges: the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, a 3,000 km journey across Australia from Darwin to Adelaide in a solar-powered vehicle. But this is more than just a race — it’s a two-year innovation, education, and technology program, where Hungarian engineering excellence proudly takes its place on the international stage.
Building a technological demonstration platform that meets the race’s strict requirements and is optimized for maximum energy efficiency.
Development of advanced algorithms and predictive systems, including real-time weather and trajectory forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
Creating a digital twin of the race car’s geometry and energy system enables real-time monitoring and simulation. This tool also becomes an integral part of the university’s educational framework.
Exploring how the developed technologies can be adapted and scaled for use in industrial and urban environments, including the development of patents and intellectual property protections.
Explore the technical design and advanced materials powering our solar vehicle’s performance and efficiency.
Review the structured workflow, timelines, and resource allocation that keep development on track.
Discover how interdisciplinary expertise and clear communication enable seamless project execution.
Learn about our commitment to renewable energy, eco-friendly practices, and long-term impact.
Our engineering efforts are focused on maximizing energy efficiency, structural performance, and system reliability under real-world racing conditions. With the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge as our benchmark, we strive to achieve the optimal balance between lightweight design, aerodynamic efficiency, and precise energy management through simulation-driven development and continuous iteration.
We thank our sponsors for powering our technical development and supporting the electric revolution toward a more sustainable future.
For Neumann University, the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is more than a race — it’s a test of engineering excellence, teamwork, and our commitment to shaping a sustainable, electric future.
